Safety Comes Standard on Our Wheelchair Accessible Vans

Handicapped Vans Direct stands behind its mobility vans completely. As an authorized AMS Vans, Inc. reseller, Handicapped Vans Direct can assure its customers that every converted van meets and exceeds the highest safety standards in the marketplace.

Handicapped Vans Direct believes that safety should come standard on every wheelchair accessible van we sell. We’re honored to work with Adaptive Mobility Systems knowing our manufacturer voluntarily participates in the crash testing of all converted wheelchair vans and cooperates with testing regulations from the National Highway Transportation Safety Authority (NHTSA). In fact, AMS is the first – and so far only – handicap conversion van manufacturer to successfully complete NHTSA’s new crash standards scheduled for 2010.

Handicapped Vans Direct only sells AMS Vans because we believe they are the strongest and safest in the industry. Unlike most manufacturers, AMS Vans refuses to cut-out the rocker panel boxes in their vehicles. Before you buy a wheelchair accessible van, please review the manufacturer’s conversion process. Several handicap conversion van companies split rocker panel boxes along the side of the vehicle in an attempt to advertise more interior space. AMS Vans refuses to manufacturer vans in this fashion, we believe this process could compromise the integrity of the frame. Perhaps this is why AMS is the only wheelchair accessible van manufacturer to successfully pass all three NHTSA crash standards.

Handicapped Vans Direct follows the AMS Vans motto: every wheelchair van is made to be strong, simple, and safe. While we hope our customers will never need our safety features, it is our goal to provide high quality new and pre-owned wheelchair vans at affordable prices that are engineered for maximum safety and minimum worry.
